Team Splitting Policy
5
Star will take registrations up to 26 players for any given level. Once
26 players are registered for a level, 5 Star will create a wait list.
When a minimum of 6 players are signed up on the wait list, 5 Star will
divide the level into 2 teams. The division will be based on to follow:
-
Middle School boundaries (Maywood Middle School and McKnight Middle
School).
-
Elementary school. In order to balance the number of players on each
team, 5 Star will look at which players attending the same elementary
school can be assigned to a specific team. This will give friends a
chance to play together and carpool players together as much as
possible.

Jerseys
The
Greater Eastside has changed the jersey rules which now requires all
teams to use Home and Away uniforms. Home uniforms will be royal blue
and black jerseys with white lettering, black pants and black helmets.
Away uniforms will be white and royal blue with black lettering, black
pants and black helmets. In order to reduce costs and simplify
logistics, we will no longer use the color distinctions of green and
gold on the jerseys.
Players will have their names printed on the back of their away jerseys
only. Players will their away jersey at the end of the season. Home
jerseys will not include names on the back and will be returned at the
end of the season. We have implemented this new policy in an effort to
keep the fees and costs of running our program down.

Liberty High School Fields
Only
coaches, players, officials are allowed on the field. Parents
volunteering on the chain gang are considered part of the officials on
the field. Also, one still camera photographer per team is allowed on
the track (not the field of play). No video cameras are allowed on the
field. Videotaping of games can be done from the stands provided a video
pass has been issued by 5 Star.

Field Access
Most of our games are played on high
school fields. Each school district has different rules that apply. GEJFA
must comply with these rules in order to continue to rent these
facilities. 5 Star appreciates your support in abiding by these field
access policies to ensure our continued use of these high quality fields. |
Team Distinctions
When
there are two teams at a particular level, we will distinguish the teams
by the designation 5 Star White and 5 Star Blue.
|
Volunteering
It
is expected that parents of players will volunteer at least 10 hours of
their time during the year. There are a variety of volunteer
opportunities on and off the field. Please see your coach or team parent
for more information.
